How To Increase Your Winning Streak- 5 Ways To Do It.

Many people think that some are born to win. Winning to them is something that is out of their control. They always used the phrase "I wish I was like this person who always wins". Some  People even put a negative label on their thoughts. They are always sloppy with their words and thoughts. Just the act of saying you are not smart or dull sends a negative message to your mind.

If some people were born to win, what of their children? Most successful people's children aren't as successful as their parents.

A good example is Picasso. Picasso was a great artist during his time but we barely hear the success of his children. Marcus Aurelius, former Roman Emperor, did great work on earth but his son was a shadow of himself.

The solution to this is to understand the dynamics of winning which comprises dreams, power, the mind, and the brain. Winning starts by having dreams, you recognise you have the power then your brain will send the message to your body and the body will act immediately. You can shift the pattern of a web of interconnections between the brain, and the surrounding world. But how? Don't worry. In this article, we are going to explore ways to win.

What makes people win?

To win, you need to dream and know what you want. "You must find your dream, no matter how old you may be, then the way becomes easy." Hermann Hesse.

To achieve any great thing you must conceive it in your mind.  This reminds me of when a pundit asked Rio Ferdinand, Oliveira Anderson and Christiano Ronaldo, the greatest football player in the world. Ferdinand said it was Maradona, Anderson also said it was Maradona and Ronald said, he is the greatest, as at 17 or there about and they all laugh at him but that mental recognition means he has potential in him to be great. Look at what happens in his career: if not the greatest player, he is one the greatest players in football history.

Even Vinicius Junior and Paqueta were asked what their dream was. Paqueta is said to win the Brazilian League while Vinicius said, to win the Brazil League and the European Champions League.

Today Vinicius won the Champions League with Madrid. You have to keep dreaming, seeking and craving. No matter your situation today, you have a dream and don't let what you see weigh you down.

The act of constantly saying or adding negative labels to your identity is highly disruptive. A good example is some black people are believed to be less intelligent than whites, this false stereotype burrowed unconsciously into the minds of black people and made their scores on tests of intellectual ability lower than they otherwise should have been.

Why do you struggle to win?

Most people struggle to win because they don't know that the power to win lies within them. It has been given to them in Matthew 18:18. When Jesus Christ said to his disciples whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever you shall lose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Take advantage of the power that has been given and it will accumulate more advantages over time. if you focus on your disadvantage it becomes more disadvantageous over time. You will keep moving from one place to another looking for solutions while it lies within you. Read the Mattew effect to learn more

Power makes us smarter, more ambitious, more aggressive and more focused. These qualities are sharpened when we win, and they boost our chances of winning in the future. Power changes us in such a way that it opens doors in our brains that help us gain more power. Power, in other words, empowers us to be winners through a positive feedback loop, a virtuous cycle of power-induced brain changes that make us even more winners in the future

in a similar way to that in which power puts on the attentional blinkers. Power, then, may unbalance our very ability to recognise risk, as well as our inclination to take heed of it.

How to increase your winning odds?

Our brains act as it was programmed. With the right code, it makes us smarter and more focused, thus boosting our power and opening up opportunities for even more success. but the crucial thing to understand is that the human brain is malleable throughout life, we can learn anything and improve to any level when we devote our time to it.

The real effect of winning is physically shaping the brain so that the brain behaves like a turbo-charged car that pushes out more power for the same amount of gasoline.

Noradrenaline is a close cousin of adrenaline but plays a bigger role in the brain. While dopamine is linked to action towards a goal and reward for achieving it, noradrenaline is a chemical linked to vigilance, monitoring and response to threats. The left prefrontal cortex does the opposite when geared up for action, it focuses attention on the goal,

Cambridge scientists show that traders with high levels of testosterone in the morning tend to have higher profits on their day’s trading. Testosterone appeared to increase their appetite for risk – and hence increases their likelihood of snatching profit from the market

Other factors that can help you to win.

We would never have survived as a species, however, if we did not face challenges and proffer solutions.

Most people become winners by rising to a challenge and we can get better if we are put into a position of power and influence.

But sometimes we don’t benefit from such circumstances because of unconscious prejudices and stereotypes in our own and others’ brains. Leaders must have an appetite for power – the stress will be too great if they don’t – but the hunger has to be as much for power for the benefit of others

How to remain a winner?

Change your thought line, always think and channel your attitude in a positive perspective. The first place, we win or lose a challenge in our mind and our brain.

Secondly, we can become winners by being in the right place at the right time

Finally, intuitively winners know that the greatest obstacle to success can be self-handicapping beliefs such as ‘I can’t do that because I’m not bright, outgoing, ambitious, tough, good enough.

Studies show that those who are optimistic and have shown high surges in testosterone before a challenge or event are more likely to win. Winning a challenge boosts the chances of winning the next encounter. You can start with small wins.

By creating a mini action plan, do your best to achieve it and It tends to make you do more.

Why do we want to win?

Winners feel in control of life, and that sense of control will help shield them from stress and help them succeed better and live longer and happier.

True winners acknowledged that ego is a dangerous barrier. They strive to keep their ego at a side and they try to consider other people first and they are always accountable for their actions.

The Real winners enjoy the benefits of power, smartness, creativity and goal-focus – and enjoy influencing other people by dispensing resources that other people need and want. They thrive on being able to have an impact and they do not cripple themselves by believing their success to be due to inherited, unchangeable qualities

Conclusion: The mere fact of winning primes us to be winners in the future. Studies have shown that for human beings it is not just the fact of winning that makes us winners. More than that, it is the fact that power reshapes our brains to make us smarter and more focused, thus boosting our power and opening up opportunities for even more success. And the good news is that we have been given the power.
